Season |
Typical sessions |
| Autumn/Winter |
Running groups of various standards set off doing between 50-70 minutes of work including intervals. The intevals are set by club coach Mark Booth and are designed to build peoples abilities up over the winter months.A predict your time over 10k run and a run led by a bike that accelerates gradually until even the fastest runner is dropped close to the end both feature during the winter months. These 2 special runs are normally followed by a curry or thai meal with the winner getting their meal paid for by everyone else. |
Spring |
Interval sets on the redways. Normally determined by duration of interval. i.e. (5mins hard, 2 mins easy) repeated 4 times. |
| Summer |
Interval training mostly occurs round Tongwell Lake. The perimeter route is exactly one mile and 400m split points are known by the regular runners. The jog out to Tongwell from Body Limits normally takes 12-15 minutes. |
